Hey from the deep south. I'm down in Georgia celebrating Thanksgiving with my immediate family and our best family friends-- It's our tradition to come down here this time of year. I'm currently writing this as I'm immobile from a combo of heavenly stuffing/ pecan pie (doing it southern style). Annnnd I literally cannot move. But it was so. worth. it. And yes, I'm full to the brim & I'm thinking about other recipes... whatever, it's Thanksgiving, aka anything goes.
But seriously, when I stop feeling like I am a balloon animal that is about to burst, I will probably want something healthy. I mean, first, I might want more stuffing... but then I'll want something healthy. To counter all that flour, dairy and sugar, this vegan banana smoothie bowl recipe uses anti-inflammatory ingredients, like figs and walnuts, to balance your omega 3 & 6 levels. Figs are natures candy & this smoothie bowl kind of tastes like breakfast ice cream. It's easy to digest, light on your body, and just enough to fuel your food hangover (and whatever other hangover you're nursing). Win all around.
This recipe is:

What's your favorite post-Thanksgiving meal? Also, if you've survived a Thanksgiving food hangover and lived to tell the tale, I could use the moral support... just saying.

Lately I've been feeling like a muffin manda. Maybe it's the fact that it's warm and summer and berry season, or maybe it's my undying love of breakfast foods (aka breakfast breads), but I have been trying every muffin under the sun. Until now. I've finally filled the muffin recipe void in my life.
